The insistance that I cannot celebrate my birthday upon the Great Feast is a very disheartening trend that has emerged in recent years. Having cakes thrust upon me two days in a row, and all manner of other foods, it is a wonder I do not gain any significant weight. The Megami woman's ability to produce edible cake from next to nothing is also quite a wonder to behold.

I will fast today, if only to once again not feel pain in my stomach.
